Football’s Black Sunday

-A A +A
By Mike Aldridge

Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving when the stores open early ... real early, for the beginning of the Christmas season. Black Sunday was today for the fans of the teams from the northern division for the American Football Conference.

At the beginning of the season, the conference was thought to be a close race between the Baltimore Ravens and the defending Super Bowl Champion Pittsburgh Steelers, with both teams certainly contending for a playoff spot. Then along came the upstart Cincinnati Bengals, who have swept both Baltimore and Pittsburgh to lead the division. Still until today, the previous division favorites were thought to still be contenders.

After today, the whole division looks weak and vulnerable.
