As the holiday season draws near, the number of Harrison County citizens visiting the Food Pantry typically increases, said Food Pantry chairman Margaret Watson.
Watson said the Food Pantry spent over $2,000 filling shelves last month.
But with this year’s increase in Food Pantry visitors, Watson said there is a decrease in donations to the organization that helps feed those families in need.
“It’s less than it used to be,” Watson said.
