According to a press release from the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, Kentucky’s flu level has been raised from ‘regional’ to ‘widespread.’

“People just need to take the same precautions they would with regular flu,” WEDCO public health director Crystal Caudill said.

Caudill said those individuals experiencing flu-like symptoms are more than likely suffering from H1N1, formerly referred to as the swine flu.
