The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department made five arrests early Wednesday morning in a surprise round up.
Four of the arrests were drug related.
“We had been looking at some of these individuals for three to four months,” Sheriff Bruce Hampton said. “This is a continuance from October’s drug raid.”
Hampton added that Wednesday’s arrests will be followed by even more busts.
“If you sell drugs, I want you,” he said.
Around 7 a.m., deputies traveled to the individuals’ homes to make the early morning arrests, afterwards transporting the alleged offenders to the Sheriff’s office for questioning.
Curtis and Susie Burkhart were arrested for first degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
Holly Harding, 27, was also arrested for first degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
Joy Hill was arrested for the sale/transfer of a simulated controlled substance.
Joshua D. Johnson, 22, was arrested for possession of a stolen handgun.
All five individuals were taken to the Grant County Detention Center.
