Coach Kim Furnish summed up the weekend with one comment on Saturday night.
“After the first quarter, we finally went out and took care of business,” the second-year Fillies mentor said.
This could have applied to the first 13 games of the year as the Fillies looked like they learned how to put a team away Saturday night after a season-to-date of leading and losing the lead.
Thursday night the Fillies played the 10-2 Lady Bears to a tough 53-46 loss after trailing by only one point going into the final eight minute stanza.
