Fillies win first district since 2003, advance to region Wednesday

The Harrison County Fillies advanced to the 10th Region tournament as champions of the 38th District for the first time in nine years.
On Saturday, they overcame an early Pendleton County goal to defeat the Lady Cats 3-1 in Maysville.  
The tournament, hosted by St. Patrick’s, was a four-team affair with Mason County and the host team losing in the first round before the Fillies capped the tourney by winning on Saturday.
