Fillies fall in season opener to Lady Camels

-A A +A

To battle Lady Bears in first home game

By Mike Aldridge

“We hit the ball hard, but right at them and didn’t get timely hits. We let too many bloop hits fall for them. It is just the first game and while I am not happy, I know the girls can improve and get a lot better.”
These were some of Fillies Coach Christine Garnett’s thoughts after Tuesday night’s 7-5 loss at the hands of Campbell County on the Lady Camels’ field.
While there were bright spots, too many routine plays got away from the Fillies that make the difference in winning and losing.
