Fillies drop Bluejackets, 7-4

The Harrison County Fillies softball team defeated district foe Nicholas County, 7-4, last Thursday on the road in Carlisle.

The Fillies wasted no time in the first inning capitalizing on several Nicholas County miscues.

Lorraine Dennie started off the inning by reaching first on an error. However, a fielder’s choice by Michelle Carson sent Dennie to the dug out. Rachel Hatfield singled and was followed by Charley Hatfield, who reached first on another Nicholas County error, which brought Carson across the plate.
