Farmers Market annual meeting scheduled for Feb. 16

The Board of Directors of the Harrison County Farmers Market invites you to the upcoming annual meeting on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Harrison County Extension Office.
The meeting is open to all persons interested in home gardening, beekeeping, meat producers, fruit producer and more.  Last year we added handmade crafts at the market. No matter what the size of your garden or property, you may have a special touch that others may find worth the buy. Educational information will be made available to all attendees interested in joining the Farmers Market as a producer along with a question and answer period.
Each year the market has shown growth and improvement.  With the Farmers Market being relocated to the new Flat Run Veterans Park on Oddville Avenue, we have also seen an increase in the number of customers.
New this year, the market is offering educational classes on how to use the drip irrigation system, plastic laying for row crops and how to use the equipment, correct pesticide and herbicide useage, weed control and classes on marketing and branding your products.
