Those newborn baby pictures may become a second thought thanks to a new system in place at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
The radiology department has added another service for consumers - the 4-D ultrasound.
The fourth dimension involves time, movement. With traditional 3-D imaging, said HMH sonographer Marilyn Wagner, the image had to be manipulated quite a bit to achieve the same effect which is standard with 4-D.
“When you’re scanning, you actually see a live image,” she said. “You can see the baby move.”
