As the holidays get closer, the Harrison County Food Pantry’s needs get bigger.
Harrison County Food Pantry coordinator Margaret Watson said Tuesday that the food pantry stock is beginning to run low again.
“This time of year pulls on a lot of people,” said Watson. “The past few weeks we have not bought eggs in order to save for the turkeys we want to buy for the holidays.”
Watson said the food pantry is in need of any items that people are willing to donate including peanut butter and cereal.
Watson said the food pantry is also accepting donations in order to purchase food for the holiday baskets that will go out later this year.
Anyone interested in donating food can drop it off at the pantry at 304 N. Locust St. or mail donations to Watson at 204 Shimfessel Ct.
