Earl F. Matthews, 92

Earl F. Matthews, 92, husband of Mildred Eileen Thomas Cornett Matthews, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at his home.
He was born March 21, 1919 in Harrison County, Ky., the son of the late Richard Raymond Matthews and Gertrude B. Fightmaster Matthews. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was held as a POW for 14 months in Germany during World War II.  He was employed for over 21 years in electronics engineering at the University of Kentucky and was of the Christian faith.
