Eighteen Harrison County individuals were arrested after a statewide drug roundup last Thursday.
“The operation went well,” said Sheriff Bruce Hampton. “There will be more to come... if you’re dealing illegal substances, then we want you.”
The Sheriff’s office joined forces with Kentucky State Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency for what KSP is calling the largest drug roundup in state history.
According to a press release from KSP, the mission titled ‘Operation Flamingo Road,’ followed a three year effort involving multiple law enforcement agencies focusing on individuals obtaining prescription drugs in Florida and then returning to Kentucky to distribute those pills.
