To the editor:
Thanks to Irving Welchons II for writing about something that has bugged me for 50 years.
We the people are the employers of these politicians that get their nose in the trough and manage to stay. If they (the large majority) were working for a company where you the voter, signed a check I think most of them would be gone. I think they depend on name recognition and that’s why we see these sings with big names and no party affiliation. I make it a regular practice and have for years, not to vote for an incumbent, unless the challenger belongs to a cult with magic underwear, was raised in another country on a polygamy site and the incumbent has done a very good job. As Irving states do your research.
