District buys 48 acres

The Harrison County Hilltop almost doubled its acreage Tuesday night.

The Harrison County Board of Education voted to purchase 48-plus acres from the Moore family to add to the contiguous school campus.

"This is an opportunity that will go away and we'll not ever see it again," said board chairman Ed Taylor. "The Hilltop is significant to this community and this is a win/win situation for this board."
