In November 1846, David Sheely was executed by hanging for killing his wife on a hill north of Cynthiana. Sheely is more known for what he did after death than anything that happened before.
A local group of actors have taken David Sheely’s story and brought it to life in a storytelling experience known as Dinner with David Sheely.
A very unique event, Dinner with David Sheely is a dinner theater event held in the exercise yard of the old county jail.
Participants will enjoy a catered dinner with characters right out of the mid 1840’s before sitting back to see David Sheely’s story come alive through drama and storytelling.
Dinner with David Sheely will be held Sept. 21and 22 at 7 p.m.
People interested in experiencing Dinner with David Sheely must have tickets, which are limited to just 60 per showing and are available at Biancke’s Restaurant for $30 each.
They include dinner and the performance and must be purchased in advance due to catering.
