There is a strange emotional thing that happens to gardeners as the summer comes to a close. Our gardens look a bit ragged and are beginning to go dormant. By now my enthusiasm for gardening is replaced by my ambitions for what I want my garden to look like next year. It’s perfect timing, really, because fall in Kentuckiana is the best time to plant. No more droughts or 90 degree days.
