Summer concert series begins Friday

The Cynthiana Summer Concert Series will begin on Friday, June 21, at 6:30 p.m. on the courthouse lawn.
For six consecutive Friday evenings, local sponsors are bringing a variety of bands to downtown Cynthiana to make the city alive with music and family friendly fun. All concerts are free to the public.
Dwayne Gillispie and the band Sidewinder will be kicking off the series on Friday.
There will be food vendors and our local downtown restaurants will be open. The public is encouraged to bring friends and family out for a great night of fun and music.  Bring lawn chairs or blankets, grab some food, and enjoy a great evening out.

Kids College returns
for 21st year
It’s back. For the 21st year, Kid’s College is being prepared to give young students the opportunity to explore what ‘big time’ college students are studying.
A full week of activities and fun is available for young students at the Licking Valley Campus. The 2013 edition of Kid’s College, July 8-12, will have its daily sessions from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. There are a variety of hands-on, interactive, educational classes to choose from for primary ages 6-8 and secondary ages 9-12. The basic fee is $65 per student and $50 per sibling in the same household. Students who wish to participate in the Friday afternoon activity will have an extra fee.
