Diamond Breds open season with wins

The Harrison County Thorobreds (2-0) varsity baseball team started the 2008 season off right on Monday evening, capturing a 10-4 victory over the Owen County Rebels (0-1) on the Hilltop.

Senior pitcher Brandon Martin took the mound first for the Breds in the season opener and struck out the first six Rebel batters. Martin struck out seven batters, walked two and held Owen County scoreless over three innings.
