The Harrison County Fillies (9-9) took to the road Tuesday night trying to shake a three-game losing streak. The host Deming Lady Black Devils (4-14) played the Fillies close for a half, but ended up falling in a 50-40 district contest.
In the first quarter, Deming jumped out to a 16-12 lead, mostly on the strength of three-point shooting. Senior Erin Carmack dropped in nine points for the Lady Black Devils.
Harrison Countys Charley Hatfield kept the game close for the Fillies, breaking loose for 10 first quarter points.
