Former University of Kentucky basketball player Ed Davender entered a not guilty plea to three counts of theft by deception over $300 on Tuesday.
Davender was indicted following an investigation into the sale of season tickets for UK basketball and football games.
According to earlier accounts, Davender, 43, allegedly sold tickets that he did not have to Harrison County Farm Bureau agent Dustin Rose.
Rose called Davender’s alleged scam a “smoke and mirror” deception, that claimed over $3,000 from Rose.
