Case reports

Nov. 11 -- At 3:28 p.m., Brian Grayson reported that his building at 112 S. Walnut St. was burglarized and missing was electrical wiring, circular saw, scroll saw, saws all and fan.

Nov. 11 -- At 3:31 p.m., Diane Slade, Culpepper Drive, reported that someone broke into her home and turned over a television and jammed a door.

Nov. 11 -- At 4:31 p.m., David Sanders of Farmers National Bank reported that he received a check on an account that had been flagged with an alert. The account holder said she had not authorized a check on the account.

Nov. 14 -- At 1:09 p.m., police took a report of suspected sexual abuse of a 6-year-old child.

Nov. 14 -- At 11:53 p.m., police were called to Barry Dean Turner’s Bar on Pike Street for a fight in progress.

Nov. 16 -- At 6:46 p.m., a report of a shoplifting incident was reported from Walmart.

Nov. 16 -- At 6:05 p.m., police were called to Ken’s NewMarket on a report of a domestic disturbance.

Nov. 17 -- At 11:23 a.m., a report was made of a stolen vehicle. Police found that the vehicle was returned to the owner, Kathy McElfresh, and that it had been damaged. It appeared the vehicle had crashed into another vehicle on Poplar Street.

Nov. 18 -- At 1:24 a.m., police were called to Old Lair Road residence on a domestic disturbance. Police arrested Michael Fowler, charging him with fourth degree assault, domestic violence.

Nov. 19 -- At 9:17 p.m., Molly Caudill, Penn Street, reported that someone broke into her home taking $30.

Nov. 19 -- At 9:27 p.m., David Conner, an employee of Ken’s, reported that Carmen Ayala came into the store and allegedly took several items without paying for them.

Nov. 19 -- At 10:17 p.m., Abigail Mitchell of Shell Food Market reported that two men came into the store. One went to the counter and the other picked up a 30-pack of beer and walked out.

Nov. 20 -- At 7:46 p.m., police were called to 135 Cherokee Dr. on a domestic disturbance.

Nov. 21 -- At 11:01 p.m., a domestic disturbance was reported at Hillside Drive.

Nov. 21 -- At 11:39 a.m., police were notified of a domestic situation that had occurred at 222 E. Pike St.

Nov. 21 -- At 4:27 p.m., a theft report was made from Chasity Martinez at 208 Riggs Ave., who told police she had money and pills taken. During the course of the investigation, police arrested Rees Garrison, charging him with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Nov. 21 -- At 10:04 p.m., police took a report of suspected child neglect.

Nov. 22 -- At 6:02 p.m., a report was made of a verbal argument in progress at First Stop. The argument was apparently the result of the theft of $1,100 from one of the subject’s homes.

Nov. 22 -- At 6:33 p.m., police took a report of the possible sale of marijuana.

Nov. 22 -- At 10:37 p.m., Althea Herrington, Elm Street, reported the theft of several items from her home including a cellular phone, over $1,100 in cash, two jewelry boxes, an Elvis Edition MP3 player, diamond earrings, opal necklace and earrings and numerous rings.

Nov. 23 -- At 12:16 p.m., police took a report of an assault that occurred at Harrison County High School.

Nov. 23 -- At 5:14 p.m., police arrested a shoplifting suspect at Walmart. Kathy Smith was charged with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.

Nov. 24 -- At 5:41 p.m., a report of a verbal argument was made at a Riggs Avenue residence.

Nov. 25 -- At 12:43 a.m., a report of a domestic disturbance was made at a Main Street residence.

Nov. 25 -- At 6:08 a.m., Erin Oakley of Shell Mart reported that an individual had shoplifted merchandise.

Nov. 25 -- At 3:15 p.m., a report was made from Shell Mart of a cash register being over $200 short.

Nov. 26 -- At 11:51 a.m., Darrell Beverly, Bridge Street, reported that a Remington rifle was taken from a closet at his home.

Nov. 27 -- At 11:28 a.m., Klaetta Schneider reported that the wallet of a Walmart employee was taken from her purse that was in a shopping cart.

Nov. 28 -- At 9:35 a.m., Mary Scott of the Bridge Street BP station, reported that a man came into the store and  asked to purchase $960.38 in money orders. During the confusion, the man reached across the counter and took two money orders valued at $880 and left the store.

Nov. 28 -- At 5:50 p.m., Misty Turner, Riggs Avenue, reported that someone broke into her residence and took her television.

Nov. 28 -- At 7:17 p.m., Shaun Bell reported that his girlfriend’s estranged husband has been harassing him.

Nov. 28 -- At 10:15 p.m., a report was made from Walmart security of an alleged shoplifting incident of a pair of $39 shoes.

Nov. 29 -- At 3:41 p.m., Darlene Perez, Press Drive, reported that someone broke into her storage unit on Waterworks Road and took $135 worth of property.

Nov. 29 -- At 12:41 p.m., police were called to North Walnut Street where a woman was reportedly intoxicated and lying on the ground. She told police that the man with her had struck her in the head and that she wanted an ambulance.

Nov. 30 -- At 1:32 a.m., police stopped Suelynn Carter, who was suspected of taking a purse and its contents. Carter was arrested and charged with receiving stolen property.

Nov. 30 -- At 3:50 p.m., police investigated a report of fourth degree assault between siblings.

Dec. 2 -- At 1:18 a.m., a Cynthiana woman reported that her estranged boyfriend, whom she has a DVO against, called her and harassed her.

Arrests, citations, warnings

Dec. 3 -- Laquisha Talbott, 22, was arrested on Court Street on a warrant for theft by deception, including cold checks under $500.

Dec. 4 -- Ricky Slade, 45, was cited on Pleasant Street for failure to wear seat belts.

Dec. 4 -- Marlynn K. Flora, 59, was cited on KY 36 at HMH for speeding.

Dec. 4 -- Charlene S. Smith, 44, was cited on Oddville Avenue at Rodgers Park for speeding.

Dec. 4 -- Andrea D. Yearsley, 35, was cited on KY 356 at TI Automotive for speeding.

Dec. 4 -- Vickie G. Faulkner, 58, was cited at KY 36 at TI Automotive for speeding.

Dec. 4 -- Gary P. Taylor Sr., 54, was cited on Bridge Street at Railroad Avenue for failure to wear seat belts and failure to produce insurance card.

Dec. 4 -- Richard W. Bills, 47, was cited on Pleasant Street for failure to wear seat belts and no motorcycle operator’s license.

Dec. 4 -- Tammy A. Dennis, 50, was cited on KY 3016 and Pleasant Street for failure to produce insurance card and failure to wear seat belts.

Dec. 4 -- John Roberts, 48, was arrested on Hillside Drive and charged with a violation of EPO/DVO.

Dec. 4 -- Jonathan D. Gardner, 23, was arrested on Wilson Avenue and charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threatening.
