Arrests, warnings, citations

Case reports

Feb. 5 – At 9 p.m., Kelly Sumpter reported a missing cell phone. She notified police later of the phone’s return.

Feb. 6 – At 5:58 p.m., Shawn Gifford reported that someone entered his Newsome Avenue home and removed a 26-inch flat panel television, valued at $420. His daughter’s television was also moved to the middle of the room, but not taken.

Feb. 6 – At 9:45 p.m., Cynthia Robinson reported that her ex-husband threw one or two bottles that struck her 1999 Taurus causing damage to the passenger side rear door.

Feb. 6 – At 10:15 p.m., police investigated allegations of child endangering.

Feb. 7 – At 11:59 a.m., Hazel Landrum, Oddville Avenue, reported that some of her medication had been stolen.

Feb. 8 – At 4:35 p.m., police investigated a domestic dispute on Fourth Street. Timothy D. Callahan was arrested and charged with fourth degree assault, minor injury (domestic violence).

Feb. 8 – At 3:24 a.m., police investigated an alleged unlawful imprisonment on Pleasant Street.

Feb. 8 – At 8:30 p.m., Amber Steel reported that three people came to the residence of Angel Kelly and threatened them with a knife and ball bats.

Feb. 9 – At 10:30 a.m., Ronald Thompson, Miller Street, reported that a vehicle struck a pole on his fence. The pole broke and struck his pop-up trailer causing damage.

Feb. 10 – At 5:43 p.m., Curtis R. Justice, Rocky Springs Road, reported that someone had taken his medication.

Feb. 11 – At 6:51 a.m., Roger Q. Brill, Waterworks-Abdallah Road, reported that someone had thrown a cinder block through the front door of Steel Trailer Inc. It did not appear that anything was missing from the business. Criminal mischief was also reported at E-Z Pack at the same time.

Feb. 11 – At 7:35 a.m., Mike Nichols, Ladish Road, reported that someone cut a hole in the fence on the rear of the E-Z Pack property and backed one of the garbage trucks through a chain-link fence. Damage to fence and truck estimated at $3,500.

Feb. 11 – At 10:45 p.m., police were called to Speedway on U.S. 27 South where a woman was alleged to be intoxicated and getting ready to drive away. Police arrested Lesley A. Harney, Hicks Pike, charging her with operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs/etc., operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and wanton endangerment.

Feb. 10 – At 5:15 a.m., police investigated a domestic dispute on Raintree Drive.

Feb. 12 – At 7:57 a.m., Robert P. Gilley, Cedarcrest Court, reported that a .22 semi-automatic was taken from his residence sometime within the last month.

Feb. 12 – At 9:51 a.m., Kelly Anderson, Miller Street, reported that the license plate on her 2000 Ford Taurus was taken.

Arrests, warnings, citations

Feb. 6 -- Joshua Helsel, 21, was issued a warning for careless driving on Walnut Street.

Feb. 6 -- Michael Roberts,42 was issued a warning for defective headlight on U.S. 27 South.

Feb. 6 -- Zachery L. Burgett, 23, was issued a citation for speeding on KY 356.

Feb. 7 --  Elizabeth N. Gibbs, 30, was issued a warning for defective headlight on Walnut Street.

Feb. 7 -- Robert G. McDowell, 66, was issued a warning for speeding on U.S. 27 South.

Feb. 7 -- Whitney Moreland, 17, was issued a warning for defective headlight on U.S. 27 South.

Feb. 7 --Timothy W. Platt, 33, was arrested on a warrant for criminal mischief (two counts) on Church Street.

Feb. 7 -- Charles A. Tucker, 25, was arrested on a warrant for operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs/etc, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, no operator’s license, no registration plates.

Feb. 7 -- Gabrielle R. Kirsch, 16, was cited for disregarding traffic control device on Pleasant Street.

Feb. 7 -- Isidro Vasquez, 33, was cited for failure of owner to maintain required insurance on Oddville Avenue.

Feb. 8 -- Timothy D. Callahan, 47, was arrested on Fourth Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and fourth degree assault, domestic violence.

Feb. 8 -- Alvin Hubbard Jr., 30, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and fleeing or evading police on foot.

Feb. 9 -- William D. Burgess, 44, was arrested on Locust Street and charged with criminal trespass.

Feb. 9 -- Ernest M. Pyles, 25, was cited for failure to wear seat belts on Pike Street.

Feb. 9 -- Electra N. Feeback, 25, was cited for speeding on Waterworks Road.

Feb. 10 -- Jon T. Johnson, 24, was cited for disregarding stop sign on Oddville Avenue.

Feb. 10 -- Bobby Wayne Hall, 43, was arrested on Walnut Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place.

Feb. 11 -- Kevin Gilbert, 46, was arrested on Court Street on a warrant for operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.

Feb. 11 -- Lesley A. Harney, 23, was arrested at Speedway and charged with operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs/etc, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license and second degree wanton endangerment.

Feb. 12 -- Lorraine C. Dennie, 17, was cited for speeding on Safety Way.

Feb. 12 -- Bradley G. Yearsley, 36, was cited for speeding on KY 356.

Feb. 12 -- Kevin Jackson, 27, was arrested on Spruce Drive and charged with fourth degree assault, child abuse.

Feb. 12 -- Jackie Treadway, 35, was arrested on Elm Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, no operator’s license.

Feb. 13 -- Tanner A. Hudgins, 18, was issued a warning on Bridge Street for defective headlights.

Feb. 14 -- Mary E. Rader, 26, was arrested on Walnut Street on a warrant for fraudulent use of a credit card.

Feb. 14 -- Marc A. Philpot, 17, was cited for failure to produce insurance card, vehicle a nuisance and careless driving.

Feb. 15 -- Carmen Ayala, 25, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, cruelty to animals and disorderly conduct.

Feb. 16 -- Donna G. Mullins, 44, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with disregarding a stop sign, operating motor vehicle under influence of alcohol/drugs/etc. and license to be in possession.

Feb. 17 -- Tyrone Wilson, 19, was arrested on Hillside Drive and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, alcohol intoxication in a public place and violation of KY EPO/DVO.
