Case reports
Nov. 20 – At 4:43 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security reported that Billy J. Miller of Falmouth was witnessed taking food items amounting to $9.50 and leaving the store without paying. She was cited for theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
Nov. 21 – At 12:19 p.m., Richard A. Underwood reported that he was walking on North Locust Street and a dog from 213 N. Locust St. came into the roadway and bit him in the leg. Animal control seized the dog and the owner, Johnny Sexton, signed the dog over to be euthanized.
Nov. 22 – At 12:53 a.m., police were called to 112 S. Main St. to a fight. When police arrived they found Jonathan Willis with a laceration to his head. Willis told police he had hit his head and that there had been no fight.
Nov. 22 – At 2:55 a.m., a report was made from Shell Apple Market that a young man entered the store and removed a 12-pack of beer.
Nov. 22 – At 6:11 a.m., police took a report of a missing 20-year-old woman. She returned home last that day unharmed.
Nov. 22 – At 5:07 p.m., Laura Stanfield of Bridge Street BP reported that a man entered the store and removed a bottle of liquor without paying. The suspect was identified as Charles Hutchison. When police went to his home, he turned over the liquor. BP management will pursue charges.
Nov. 22 – At 8 p.m., police were called to Pike Street for a report of a domestic issue.
Nov. 24 – At 3:35 a.m., Lea Baker, Elmarch, reported that she had been in an accident and needed to go to the hospital.
Nov. 24 – At 4:56 p.m., Starrey McNay, Fifth Street, reported that her ex-boyfriend, Joseph Isaac, had tried to get into her apartment and broke the front door.
Nov. 24 – At 8:21 p.m., police were called regarding a custody/domestic situation in the City Hall parking lot.
 Nov. 25 – At 4:58 p.m., Donna Whitaker reported that at least two checks have been stolen from her residence and cashed in Carlisle.
Nov. 25 – At 6:39 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security, reported that two individuals who had been banned from the store in February 2009, were on Walmart property.
Nov. 25 – At 9:25 p.m., police were called to Church Street regarding a barking dog complaint. The department has been dispatched to the same location on four previous occasions. Police observed two dogs outside, one that was chained and had no more than one feet of movement. There was not shelter for the dogs. The chained dog was seized by animal control.
Nov. 26 – At 1:17 p.m., Michael O’Connell reported that he has received threatening messages on his facebook account.
Nov. 28 – At 8:09 p.m., police were called to a domestic situation on Cherokee Drive.
Nov. 30 – At 1:17 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security, advised police that he had witnessed Christopher Morgan shoving clothing down his pants. When police arrived Morgan allegedly admitted to putting three scarves in his pants. He was cited for theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
Nov. 30 – At 3:39 p.m., Merle Northcutt, Stratton Pike, reported that someone had broken into four apartments on Elm Street. The apartments were stripped of copper wiring.
Nov. 30 – At 6:45 p.m., two juvenile girls reported that they were followed by an adult male while they were walking.
Nov. 30 – At 7:19 p.m., police were contacted regarding concern over custody issues.
Dec. 1 – At 1:15 a.m., police were called to Fifth Street apartments on a noise complaint.
Dec. 2 – At 6:52 a.m., police were called to do a welfare check on children.
Dec. 2 – At 6:33 p.m., police were called to Cedar Crest Court where had fight had allegedly occurred between father and son.
Dec. 2 – At 7:19 p.m., police were called to First Stop on Pleasant Street where Henry Hogg Sr. had allegedly be struck by a vehicle driven by Robbie Williams. Then as Williams was leaving the parking lot, he allegedly struck a juvenile. Hogg was taken to HMH were he had suffered a back injury. The juvenile was also treated for a knee sprain. Williams was cited for second degree assault after witnesses reported that Williams and Hogg had been in an argument and that Williams had swerved to strike Hogg, who was walking across the lot.
Dec. 3 -- At 12:40 p.m., a missing persons report was made for Brandy Joe McGowan, who has not been seen for about a month.
Dec. 3 – At 4:24 p.m., Mike Williams, Elmarch Avenue, reported that someone entered his locked residence and scattered his clothes and broken into his safe. He said nothing was missing from the safe.
Dec. 3 – At 5:17 p.m., police took a juvenile complaint regarding three boys fighting on Fourth Street.
