Case reports
April 26 – At 11:44 p.m., Janessa Jolly, Cynthiana, reported an assault that occurred on Main Street.
April 27 – At 5:01 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart reported that two females entered the store and concealed $112 worth of merchandise. Police cited Justine Sheats and Samantha Whalen for theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
April 27 – At 7:58 p.m., police were called to a domestic situation in the parking lot at Harrison Memorial Hospital.
April 27 – At 11:32 p.m., Barry Sumpter reported that Charles Tucker entered his home and sat down at the table where he pulled out a bag of marijuana. Tucker was found walking on Poplar Street. He was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place and possession of marijuana.
April 28 – At 3:15 p.m., police investigated a report of drugs being openly used in a home where children are present.
April 28 – At 7:07 p.m., a report of domestic violence was made.
April 28 – At 7:10 p.m., Donna Nelson, Skyview Drive, reported that she purchased a flower basket at Walmart  and that it was taken from her yard within two hours after setting it out..
April 29 – At 3:47 a.m., Mandy Marsee, Cynthiana, of Shell Apple Market, reported that a man entered the store and demanded that she empty the cash register. The man got away before police arrived.
April 29 – At 11:47 a.m., Mike Vance reported that his 2003 Chevrolet Trail Blazer was bone through while it was parked on Harrison Avenue. Some tools were taken from the SUV.
April 29 – At 12:50 p.m., Larry M. Nichols reported that he had three ATVs taken from the pawn shop on Church Street.
April 29 – At 3:59 p.m., Billie Grates, KY 356, reported that about 50 knives he had in a display case were taken from his second residence on Cladorbon.
April 28 – At 6:30 p.m., police were called to Miller Street regarding an alleged threat with a knife.
April 30 – At 5:19 a.m., Michael Sims, Broadway, reported that someone got into his vehicle the night before and removed $220 from his wallet that had fallen from his pocket. The wallet was found on the floorboard, however, the money had been removed.
April 30 – At 8:48 a.m., Gary Stakelin, Pleasant Street, reported that his lawn mower was taken from his front porch.
April 30 – At 12:58 p.m., a Cynthiana woman reported that she had been beaten up and that an individual had given her two Xanax pills.
April 30 – At 1 p.m., following an investigation that initiated with an allegation of assault, police charged two juveniles with multiple charges including receiving stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, prescription drug not in proper container, illegal possession of a legend drug, possession of handgun by a minor, unlawful transaction with a minor first degree, unlawful transaction with a minor second degree, trafficking in marijuana and possession of synthetic cannabinoid agonists.
April 30 – At 5 p.m., a search warrant was executed on a home on Miller Street where a 16-year-old girl was found to be under the influence of marijuana.
April 30 – At 1 a.m., Maggie Garcia reported that her cell phone had been taken and that she had been jumped, beaten and robbed in Bulldog Alley.
April 30 --  At 2:31 p.m., Travis Cook, U.S. 27 South at Save A Lot reported having a shoplifter in custody. Police arrested Vicky Howard after finding two bottles of White Rain Shampoo in her purse.
April 30 – At 5:21 p.m., Angela Lemons, Federal Drive, reported the theft of jewelry and Williams Sowder reported that a television was taken from their home.
April 30 – At 7:12 p.m., police were called to Elmarch Avenue where a woman and her 44-year-old son had been in an argument.
April 30 – At 7:57 p.m., Terry L. Powers, Pleasant Street, reported that over the weekend someone removed a hooded sweatshirt, a pair of Nike shoes and a half tank of gas from his 1994 Volvo.
April 30 – At 4:50 p.m., Barry Haley, Wilson Avenue, reported that the license plate was stolen from his brother’s motorcycle.
May 1 – At 7:49 a.m., Candida Lewis, Miller Street, reported that a 2000 Volvo was taken from in front of her residence.
May 1 --  At 8:05 a.m., William Coy, Western Avenue, reported that his Farmers Bank card had been fraudulently used in Hialeah, Fla., totaling $1,000.
May 1 – At 1:06 p.m., police were called to Reynolds Avenue where a city dump truck, driven by Estill Barnett, had struck a television and pulled it down. There was no damage to the residence.
May 1 – At 1:55 p.m., a Cynthiana woman reported that a man made unwanted advances on her while she was working in Walmart’s Liquor Store.
May 1 – At 1:58 p.m., James Greg Ritchie was cited for trespassing on Walmart property after he had been served notice not to return to the store.
May 1 – At 4:04 p.m., police were called to Bridge Street for a domestic disturbance.
May 1 -- At 5:26 p.m., Emery Withers IV reported that he was assaulted in the alley behind Yellow Rose. He told police he drove through the alley and a car blocked his exit. The driver got out of the vehicle and began hitting Withers in the head.
May 1 – At 5:52 p.m., police were called to Walnut Street where there had been a stabbing at the bar. Police arrested Michael King and charged him with attempted murder, second degree assault, third degree criminal mischief, terroristic threatening and disorderly conduct. King allegedly stabbed Robert Rose and Bobby Crump.
May 1 – At 10:24 p.m., a domestic disturbance call was made on Pleasant Street.
May 1 --  At 11 p.m., a report was made of two juvenile shooting a BB gun at Elm Street residents.
May 2 – At 7:22 a.m., Gary Lail, Harrison County Vocational Technical Center, reported that the school was broken into overnight and an apparent attempt was made to steal money. Due to recent burglaries, there is no money kept at the school.
May 2 – At 1:55 p.m., a report was made from Harrison County High School of two boys fighting.
May 2 – At 5:47 p.m., police were called to Smith Avenue for a civil matter.
May 2 – At 5:52 p.m., Julie Prewitt of Shell Apple Market reported the drive off of a white Ford Explorer where the driver pumped $30.09 worth of fuel without paying.
May 2 – At 9:01 p.m., police received a report of possible child neglect.
May 3 – At 11:58 a.m., Trevor Thomas, Mt. Vernon Pike, reported that he was assaulted by being pushed to the ground by an individual. Police reviewed security video and saw that Thomas was pushed, however, he was not pushed to the ground.
May 3 – At 2:34 p.m., police assisted Animal Control at a residence on Vine Street for a cruelty to animals call. Animal Control took custody of a dog owned by Terry Wolford.
May 3 – At 8:29 p.m., police were called to the Pleasant Street bridge where an individual was either attempting to jump from the bridge. Police made contact with the man who said he was just messing around.
May 3 – At 8:56 p.m., a report was made of a domestic situation where a woman was trying to make contact with a man who had been ordered by the court to have no contact.
May 3 – At 11:16 p.m., police approached a vehicle that was parked at Cynthiana Baptist Church lot. According to the report, there was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Mark T. Doyle was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to notify DOT of address change, unlawful transaction with a minor and possession of marijuana.
May 3 – At 11:19 p.m., police were called to a domestic disturbance on Wilson Avenue.
May 4 – At 12:16 a.m., police were called to a dispute on Millcrest Court where money and a gun were involved. Shane Walker was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication.
May 4 – At 4:49 p.m., Steve and Rhonda Strawzell were traveling on Oddville Avenue when they saw a child coming down Elmarch Avenue on a bicycle and was going too fast to stop. Steve slammed on his brakes and the child ran into the rear of the vehicle. Neither the bicycle nor the vehicle was damaged and the child was uninjured.
May 4 – At 8:28 p.m., William Nickerson reported that a Raggedy Ann lunch box and a gold coin collection were missing from his home after a woman who had been living with him moved out.

May 4 -- Shane S. Walker, 29, was arrested on Cromwell Alley and charged with alcohol intoxication.
May 4 -- Obie D. Roberts, 56, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication.
May 4 -- Shane E. Whitaker, 37, was arrested at Clifton Village and charged with possession of controlled substance, DUI, possession of controlled substance third degree, drug unspecified, and possession of marijuana.
May 4 -- Mark T. Doyle, 28, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, failure to notify DOT if address change, unlawful transaction with a minor second degree, possession of marijuana.
May 4 -- Angela R. Lemons, 36, was cited on Cherokee Drive and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license.
May 5 -- Jason S. Nichols, 29, was arrested on Court Street on a warrant for fourth degree assault and theft by deception.
May 5 -- Corey A. Brandenburg, 22, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with obstructing a highway, disorderly conduct second degree, criminal mischief third degree.
May 5 -- Misty C. McElfresh, 24, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with disregarding traffic light and DUI.
May 5 -- Tyler S. Sumpter, 25, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication.

May 6 -- Martin L. Kendall, 36, was arrested on Court Street on a warrant for a parole violation, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of controlled substance.
May 6 -- Christopher L. Sons, 30, was arrested on Church Street and charged with alcohol intoxication.
May 6 -- James A. Mann, 32, was cited on Church Street for speeding 17 mph over the limit and failure to produce insurance card.

May 7 -- Kimberly A. Bowling, 36, was arrested on U.S.27 South at Walmart and charged with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting, and third degree criminal trespass.
May 8 -- Emily M. Vance, 29, was issued a warning on Second Street for disregarding stop sign. May 8 -- Travis A. Rhoades, 26, was arrested on Pearl Street and charged with second degree disorderly conduct and alcohol intoxication, first and second.
May 8 -- Angela N. Wilds, 26, was arrested on Cromwell Alley on two warrants for possession of controlled substance, drug unspecified.
May 8 -- Timothy J. Lesak, 40, was cited on Elmarch Avenue at Pike Street for failure to wear seat belt and failure to maintain insurance.
