Case report
Jan. 24 – At 10:50 p.m., Ptl. Michael Kiskaden was attacked by an injured cat when he attempted to catch it at Ken’s NewMarket. The cat bit his hand.
Jan. 26 – At 4:21 p.m., police were called to Oddville Avenue on a domestic disturbance.
Jan. 26 – At 4:23 p.m., police received a report of alleged physical abuse of a child.
Jan. 26 – At 6:23 p.m., Tradessa L. Machajewski reported that while she had been incarcerated since April 2010, her Social Security benefits that were placed on a debit card had allegedly been spent by an individual that she had allowed to live in her home. Social Security told her she owned $2,716 in overages.
Jan. 27 -- At 12:41 p.m., Conrad Fritz reported that someone got into his unlocked truck while it was parked at his home on Bradford Drive and took his black wallet containing $120 in cash as well as several credit cards, and a wallet belonging to Whitney Moreland that contained food stamp card.
Jan. 27 – At 11:40 p.m., police were called to a residence on Old Lair Road for a welfare check on a man who refused to get out of the car and go inside the house.
Jan. 28 – At 4:57 a.m., police were called to a domestic disturbance on Millcrest Court.
Jan. 28 -- At 9:57 a.m., Mary Nickerson reported that the basement door to a house owned by Kenny Williams had been kicked in. She said it appeared that nothing was missing inside the house but the door would have to be replaced.
Jan. 28 – At 11:34 a.m., police assisted a Cynthiana man who wanted to make a report of possible sexual abuse of an 11-year-old child who has disabilities.
Jan. 28 – At 4:09 p.m., police were called to Riggs Avenue where a woman reported that she had been choked by her husband the night before and was since having trouble breathing.
Jan. 28 – At 6:02 p.m., Rhonda Roberts reported that a parent who was at Westside Elementary for a Cub Scout meeting had her wallet taken from her purse. The wallet contained $200 in cash, debit cards and identity documents.
Jan. 28 – At 6:52 p.m., police were called regarding a possible domestic violence situation. The alleged victim denied to police that anything had occurred and refused offers to file an emergency protective order.
Jan. 29 – At 3:12 p.m., Sharon Marsh, assistant manager at Sunoco on U.S. 27 South, reported that a green Dodge pickup truck drove away while the hose was still attached.
Jan. 30 – At 10:26 a.m., Mary Hatfield reported that she went to the Walnut Street bar to have the owner pay an individual for work that he had allegedly done at the bar. She said that she was thrown out of the bar after an altercation with two women. Witnesses inside the bar told police that Hatfield came inside intoxicated and slapped one of the women and had to be forcibly made to leave. She was told not to return.
Jan. 30 – At 2:52 p.m., Travis Hively, Old Lair Road, reported that someone took a window air conditioner that was on a table in front of his house.
Jan. 31 – At 1:45 a.m., police were called to Old Lair Road for a domestic dispute. Police arrested Donald Nickerson and charged him with alcohol intoxication in a public place, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct.
Jan. 31 – At 5:05 p.m., police were called to Safety Way and Ladish Road where two subjects were apparently arguing.
Jan. 31 – At 5:23 p.m., police were advised of an alleged assault against a man who has cerebral palsy.
Jan. 31 – At 8:39 p.m., police were called to Elmarch Avenue for a domestic situation.
Jan. 31 – At 9:52 p.m., police were called to a residence on Pleasant Street in reference to an argument between mother and son.
Feb. 1 – At 6:14 a.m., police were called to Pearl Street by a man who claimed his wife was acting strangely. EMS was called but the woman refused transport or treatment.

Jan. 27 -- Polly  A. Wilson, 43, was issued a warning on Pleasant Street for speeding.
Jan. 27 -- Melissa P. Sims, 18, was cited on U.S. 27 South for speeding, 13 mph over the limit.
Jan. 28 -- Kathryn M. Sullivan, 31, was issued a warning on U.S. 27 North for careless driving.
Jan. 28 -- John P. Enlow, 27, was arrested on Court Street on a Harrison County warrant for terroristic threatening.
Jan. 29 -- Jonathan G.  Doyle. 28, was issued a warning on Pike Street for disregarding a stop sign.
Jan. 29 -- Jorge Cortes, 31, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with no registration receipt, no insurance, no operator’s license, reckless driving and disregarding traffic light.
Jan. 29 -- Metta Gross, 26, was arrested on a Scott County warrant for fourth degree assault.
Jan. 30 -- Kendra D. McElfresh, 24, was cited on Church Street for failure to maintain insurance, failure to wear seat belt.
Jan. 30 -- James N. Gallagher, 39, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with failure to surrender revoked operator’s license, operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to wear seat belts, warrant for failure to wear seat belt, warrant for speeding 18 mph over the limit.
Jan. 30 -- Arlen C. Mullins, 34, was arrested on Church Street and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure to maintain insurance, failure to wear seat belt and failure to surrender revoked operator’s license.
Jan. 30 -- Jonathan F. Henson, 30, was cited on Battle Grove Avenue for failure to maintain insurance.
Jan. 31 -- Cindy D. Knight, 30, was issued a warning on U.S. 27 South for defective speedometer and speeding.
Jan. 31 -- Misty M. Misinec, 31, was issued a warning on KY 3016 for failure to illuminate head lights.
Jan. 31 -- James M. Brandenburg, 19, was issued a warning on U.S. 27 North for speeding.
Jan. 31 -- Ruben T. Martinez, 36, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication, second degree disorderly conduct.
Jan. 31 -- Nicholas S. Ritchie, 21, was arrested on Safety Way and charged with possession of license while privileges are revoked, operating on a suspended operator’s license.
Jan. 31 -- Donnie W. Nickerson, 48, was arrested on Old Lair Road and charged with resisting arrest, alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Jan. 31 -- Emmie Price, 20, was cited on Oddville Avenue for failure to wear seat belt, failure to produce insurance card and license to be in possession.
Jan. 31 -- Leslie G. Preston, 22, was cited on Church Street for failure to use child restraint device.
Jan. 31 -- William S. Bowser, 24, was cited on Pike and Walnut streets for failure to wear seat belt, license to be in possession, no registration plate, no registration receipt.
Jan. 31 -- Angel J. Gomez, 25, was arrested on Short Street and charged with alcohol intoxication, disorderly conduct and criminal mischief.
Jan. 31 -- Christina Guerra, 21, was arrested on Pleasant Street and charged with alcohol intoxication.
Feb. 1 -- Zachary L. Arnold, 27, was arrested on Court Street on warrants from Harrison and Bourbon counties for criminal possession of a forged instrument, operating on a suspended operator’s license, theft by deception, three counts of theft by deception (Bourbon) and receiving stolen property (Harrison).
