Case reports
Dec. 2 – At 5:16 p.m., Rita Gill, New Lair Road, reported that seven of her checks had been used at various businesses in Cynthiana without her permission.
Dec. 3 – At 3:52 p.m., Otis Hardy, Newsome Avenue, reported that his debit card was used without his permission and that a total of $337.68 had been withdrawn.
Dec. 3 – At 10:09 p.m., police opened an investigation of a possible assault of an elderly woman in collaboration with Adult Protective Services.
Dec. 7 – At 11:30 a.m., police investigated a report of a child custody dispute on Millcrest Court.
Dec.7 – At 11:33 a.m, a report was made from a Lexington doctor’s office concerning a woman in Cynthiana who allegedly told the nurse that she was going to commit suicide. Police contacted the woman and she said she was fine and not going to harm herself.
Dec. 2 – At 6 p.m., a Newsome Avenue woman reported that her son is being harassed at the bus stop by an adult woman.
Dec. 10 – At 5:40 p.m., Bonnie Miller reported that some of her mother’s items were taken from her residence at Clifton Village. It was later advised that all of the items had been accounted for.
Dec. 8 – At 9 a.m., police were called to Walnut Street for a house check to make sure the evicted tenant had not returned.
Dec. 12 – At 2 p.m., Odella Franklin reported that she had not been served a summons for a cold check as was reported in the paper. It was determined that her daughter was served the summons as her mother’s power of attorney, and that it was being taken care of.
Dec. 8 – At 4:40 p.m., Jessica Custard reported that her mother’s vehicle was vandalized sometime between Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
Dec. 8 – At 10:41 p.m., a report was made from Shell Apple Mart of a possible theft of gas.
Dec. 9 – At 6 p.m., police were called to be present during a child custody exchange.
Dec. 10 – At 5:30 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart loss prevention, reported a possible shoplifting in progress. Police arrested Michael Puckett, Carlisle, charging him with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
Dec. 10 – At 10:48 p.m., police made a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired Michigan tags. Donald Adams was driving the vehicle. A warrant had been issued from Madison County and when taken into custody, a strong odor of marijuana was coming from inside the vehicle. Adams was charged with no registration plates, no registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain insurance, possession of a controlled substance first degree, prescription controlled substance not in proper container.
Dec. 11 – At 11:02 p.m., police were called to Main Street where a man jumped from a window and injured himself.
Dec. 11 – At 7:50 p.m., Preston Sexton and Jessica Hutchison report that they have been receiving harassing text messages.
Dec. 12 – At 7:52 a.m., police were called to Parkside Manor for a death investigation.
Dec. 13 – At 3:33 p.m., Stacey Ashbrook reported that her lavender laptop computer, a pink Nokia digital camera and $100 are missing from her home.
Dec. 13 – At 4:08 p.m., police were called to Oddville Avenue where two pit bulls had broke out of their pen and knocked a man down. Jim Dedman sustained a broken arm and was taken to the hospital.
Dec. 14 – At 4:10 a.m., police were called to Robynwood on a domestic dispute.
Dec. 14 – At 5:25 a.m., police were called to HMH regarding a possible domestic dispute that had allegedly occurred on Penn Street. Police arrested Alfonso Bowman and charged him with fourth degree assault, domestic violence.
Dec. 14 – At 5:45 p.m., police were called to Riggs Avenue for an adult welfare check.

Dec. 9 -- Matthew L. Cooper, 48, was cited on Pleasant Street for failure to wear seat belt.
Dec. 9 -- Salvador Tecpile Acahua, 27, was cited on Walnut Street for failure to wear seat belt.
Dec. 9 -- James D. Lonaker, 25, was cited on Bridge Street for failure to wear seat belt and no insurance.
Dec. 9 -- Clint D. Wilson, 18, was cited on KY 356 for license to be in possession and speeding, 10 mph over the limit.
Dec. 9 -- Patti B. Thomas, 49, was cited on Main at Pleasant streets for disregarding traffic light.
Dec. 9 -- David R.  Slade, 20, was cited on Pleasant Street at Walnut Street for failure to wear seat belt and failure to produce insurance card.
Dec. 9 -- Heatherrae J. Slade, 26, was cited on Pleasant Street for failure to wear seat belt.
Dec. 10 -- Edward H. Bogner, 47, was arrested on Pearl Street on warrants for contempt of court and possession of marijuana.
Dec. 10 -- Johnny N. Claypool Jr., 35, was arrested on Court Street on warrants for alcohol intoxication and disorderly conduct.
Dec. 10 -- Michael A. Puckett, 30, was arrested on U.S. 27  South at Walmart and charged with theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting.
Dec. 10 -- Donald J. Adams, 21, was arrested on Walnut Street for having no registration plate, prescription drug not in proper container, no registration receipt, possession of controlled substance no insurance.
Dec. 10 -- Jordan L. Waits, 21, was cited on U.S. 27 South at Walmart for vehicle a nuisance and failure to produce insurance card.
Dec. 11 -- Michael A. Scott, 19, was issued a warning on U.S. 62 West for having no brake lights.
Dec. 11 -- Kyle G. McCarty, 51, was cited on Church at Bridge streets for no registration plate, no insurance, license to be in possession, no registration receipt.
Dec. 12 -- Robert D. Fryman Jr., 27, was arrested on Court Street on a warrant for receiving stolen property under $10,000.
Dec. 12 -- Jeffrey A. Shepperd, 49, was arrested on a warrant for probation violation on a felony offense.
Dec. 12 -- Shonda L. Cook, 27, was cited on U.S. 27 North for speeding in a school zone, speeding 26 mph over the limit, failure to produce insurance card.
Dec. 12 -- Maggie M. Garcia, 22, was arrested on Court Street on warrants for operating on a suspended operator’s license, theft by unlawful taking, shoplifting, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear.
Dec. 12 -- Donald L. Kiskaden, 72, was cited on Bridge Street at Railroad Avenue for failure to wear seat belt.
Dec. 12 -- Brittany R. Lewis, 29, was cited on KY 356 at Spruce Drive for no insurance, failure to notify DOT of address change, license to be in possession, failure to wear seat belt and operating motor vehicle with expired operator’s license.
Dec. 12 -- Kathy A. Stroub, 51, was cited on Safety Way for speeding, 10 mph over the limit.
Dec. 12 -- Eric D. O’Brien, 17, was cited on Elmarch Avenue for failure to wear seat belt and intermediate license violations.

Dec. 13 -- Stanley W. Holland, 22, was cited on Ladish Road for no registration plate.
