Case reports
Oct, 4 -- At 10:04 p.m., Kevin Wiglesworth, 103 Cladorbon reported that someone from McKinley’s Auto entered fenced property to repossess a 2001 Chevrolet S-10 without permission to do so.
Oct. 6 -- At 1:04 a.m., Kimberly Gallagher, 108 S. Miller St., reported that a resident of Shady Lawn Nursing Home had walked away from the facility. Kenneth Maddox was declared a missing person.
Oct. 6 -- At 3 p.m., a report was made by the mother of a juvenile girl that a 20-year-old man was harassing her teenage daughter and posting things about her on twitter. She asked that the man be told to stop harassing her daughter.
Oct. 8 -- At 1:39 p.m., Larry Fowler reported that he had stopped two juvenile girls at Family Dollar Store who had taken a Kit Kat candy bar. The juveniles were taken into custody and released to their parents’ custody.
Oct. 9 -- At 1:06 a.m., Jerry T. Coy, Short Street, reported that he allowed a man and woman to do their laundry at his residence. When they left, money that he had in his pants pocket was missing.
Oct, 10 -- At 3:44 a.m., police noticed a man walking along U.S. 27 South with what appeared to be two rifles under his arms. Joshua Shelton told police he had taken the guns out of law-away. However, Walmart security advised that Shelton was on security video taking the guns as well as other merchandise without paying. Shelton had an active warrant from Jessamine County for an EPO violation. He was arrested and charged with alcohol intoxication in a public place, theft by unlawful taking (firearm), theft by unlawful taking under $500.
Oct. 10 -- At 2:43 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security reported that William S. Bond was unlawfully inside the store and concealing merchandise.
Oct. 10 -- At 8:56 p.m., Seth Smith of Walmart security reported that Rodney Voland, Williamstown, was inside the store and was being detained for shoplifting. Voland was arrested and charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500. He had in his possession two eye shadows, eye liner, a pack of fish hooks, four keys and three key caps, a four wire receiver cord, a line spooler and a pack of key rings totalling $52.67.
Arrests, citations, warnings
Oct. 4 -- Michael Williams, 48, was cited on U.S. 27 South for violation of regulations for operating motorcycle, unapproved eye protection device, speeding 10 mph over the limit and failure to comply with helmet law, over 21 years of age.
Oct. 4 -- Valerie D. Doyle, 47, was cited on North Main Street for no registration receipt, failure to produce insurance card and no/expired registration plate.
Oct. 5 -- Mitchell G. Knipper, 40, was arrested on Harrison County warrants for reckless driving, DUI and failure to maintain insurance.
Oct. 7 -- Paul R. Chamberlin, 52, was arrested on Walnut Street and charged with operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license.
Oct. 9 -- Joseph A. Volker, 22, was cited on Church Street for improper start from parked position and vehicle a nuisance, noisy, etc.
Oct. 9 -- Tyler R. Smith, 20, was arrested on Grandview Drive and charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, possession of license while privileges revoked or suspended.
Oct. 9 -- Cody R. Baker, 19, was arrested on Harrison County warrants for person 18-20 possessing/attempting to purchase alcohol, theft of mail matter, unlawful transaction with a minor, first degree criminal trespassing.
Oct. 9 -- Melissa M. Martin, 30, was arrested on a Harrison County warrant for theft by unlawful taking under $500 (all others).
Oct. 10 -- Kirk W. Martin III, 45, was issued a warning on U.S. 27 North for speeding.
Oct. 10 -- Reginald J. Verax, 35, was issued a warning on North Main Street for speeding.
Oct. 10 -- Rodney R. Voland, 41, was arrested on U.S. 27 South and charged with theft by unlawful taking under $500, shoplifting.
Oct. 10 -- Brent D. Lewis, 22, was arrested on a Bourbon County warrant for fourth degree assault, domestic violence, and Harrison County warrants for failure to produce insurance card and operating on suspended or revoked operator’s license.
Oct. 10 -- Joshua A. Shelton, 20, was arrested on U.S. 27 South and charged with alcohol intoxication, theft by unlawful taking (firearm), theft by unlawful taking under $500 (shoplifting) and violation of Kentucky EPO. He was also served a warrant from Jessamine County for violation of EPO.
