Michael Todd McCall, 22, was killed in an accident on I-75 early Wednesday morning, June 12.
McCall, driving a Chevrolet S-10, was northbound on I-75 and for an unknown reason veered to the right onto the shoulder where a semi-tractor trailer had pulled off, according to Sherelle Roberts, Lexington-Fayette Police spokesperson.
Roberts said the S-10 burst into flames after impact.
The accident occurred about 1:50 a.m. near the Athen-Boonesboro Road exit.
McCall’s grandmother, Wanda Gill, is certain that her grandson fell asleep at the wheel.
