Harrison Memorial Hospital’s new chief executive officer began work on Monday, but Sheila Currans didn’t have any problems finding her way around the hospital.
Working at HMH since 1973, Currans served as a staff nurse, assistant head nurse, ICU/CCU head nurse and supervisor, Director of Quality, Director of Nursing, and Chief Operating Officer before filling the position left by Darwin Root, who retired on Jan. 2.
“I loved it all,” Currans said about her previous nursing and management roles at HMH.
