Cox will cross state for friends in Africa

-A A +A
By Becky Barnes

Courtney Cox may be a mere 20 years old, but the Pendleton County graduate has learned what it means to help others and she’s taking that knowledge to a new level.

On June 26, Cox will be joined by family and friends as she begins her Empower Walk across Kentucky, all in an effort to raise money for a village in Uganda, where she spent last summer helping the people.

Cox, a student at the University of Kentucky, became interested in Africa through her studies. She decided she wanted to study abroad as a freshman with her focus on French and international studies.
