Court gives $500 for fire hydrant installation

The Harrison County Fiscal Court allocated $500 toward installing a flush fire hydrant near Harrison Estates.

Charlene Craycraft and Patti Clapp have been trying to raise money to install the hydrant on the Harrison County Water Association line which runs along Wornall Lane.

Currently, we dont have any fire protection in Harrison Estates other than what the fire trucks can carry, Clapp said. So quick as a mobile home or trailer burns, by the time they have to leave the area to refill their tanks and come back, its already gone.
