The second leg of the Harrison County Fiscal Court budgeting discussions ended with magistrates asking for more information before deciding on salaries for 2009-2010.
The emphasis of deliberation was if county employees should receive a 5 percent pay increase in the coming fiscal year.
“We have an obligation to take care of our employees, but we also have an obligation to our taxpayers,” said Magistrate Jeff Brunker.
