The Harrison County Fiscal Court has agreed to enter into a contract for road stone with a new provider.
After several years of business with Hinkle, Bourbon Limestone, a lower bid was submitted and awarded by Hilltop Stone to provide road stone for county road projects.
“We have been with Hinkle for as long as I can remember,” said Harrison County Judge-Executive Alex Barnett. “However, the bid submitted by Hilltop will save the county up to $100,000 in number nine stone alone, which we use nearly 200,000 tons of on any given year.”
