Medical tests showed that Harrison County Road Department Supervisor James McCarty suffered damage to the medial collateral ligament (MCL) in his knee following an incident in which his leg went through a hole in the Snake Lick bridge Friday afternoon.
McCarty deferred comment about his injury to Harrison County Judge-Executive Alex Barnett, but did confirm that, fortunately, he avoided breaking his leg or knee cap. But, as of Monday morning, he said that his leg was still swollen and that he’ll be walking on crutches for awhile.
