The Harrison County Sheriffs Department is investigating a copper theft which has repair estimates in the six-figure range.
According to a HCS report, Merrill Northcutt, 71, reported a burglary at 962 Ky. 356 (White Oak Pike), the former ATK building.
Taken in the break in was 1,050 feet of industrial copper wire. Several items sustained damage, including 350 feet of four inch electrical conduit, 70 four inch clevis hangers and six 400 amp, 240 volt disconnects.
The alleged burglary happened sometime between May 1 and May 7, the report said.
