Longtime recreation director Kenny Copes is stepping down.
Copes, who has been at the helm for the last 11 years, but with the Cynthiana-Harrison County Recreation Department since 1983, will be replaced for an interim by Rick Chasteen.
Chasteen, who serves on the recreation board, said he will take charge during the search for a new director.
