Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Friday, Dec. 18 in Robynwood Heights from 2-3 p.m.
The Story of Christmas. The Berry Lions Club invites the public to attend “The Story of Christmas” on Friday, Dec. 18, from 6 p.m.– 8 p.m. at the Berry Lions Club Hall. The event is free and open to the public. Kids, meet Santa and receive treat bags and gifts. Enjoy hot chocolate and cookies, story time, caroling, and watching the movie “The Polar Express.”
SATURDAY, Dec. 19
Cynthiana Cycling Club. The Cynthiana Cycling Club Weekly Bicycle Ride this week will not take place, instead we will be conducting our Annual Christmas Bicycle Clinic Building and Assembling Bicycles to give as Christmas gifts to needy and underprivileged children in our community. If interested in learning more about bicycles and helping assemble these gifts or for directions, contact Peter or Kim Newberry at 234-5285 prior to Saturday, Dec. 19. We will be putting the bikes together in the Newberry’s barn on Saturday, Dec. 19, beginning at noon. Hot chocolate, refreshments and popcorn will be provided.

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Monday, Dec. 21 at Shady Lawn, All Season, and Grays Run from 2-4 p.m.
TUESDAY, Dec. 22
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Tuesday, Dec. 22 at Edgemont at 2:30 p.m. White Oak from 3-4 p.m.; and Lucust from 4:10-4:30 p.m.
Preschool Storytime. Tuesday, Dec. 22 from 10-10:30 a.m. for ages 3-5 in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.
Cynthiana City Commission will meet Tuesday, Dec. 22, 5:30 p.m., upstairs City Hall in the commissioners’ room. The meetings are open to the public.
Fiscal Court of Harrison County will meet Tuesday, Dec. 22, 5:30 p.m., meeting room at the Harrison County Sheriff’s building (former KU building). The meetings are open to the public.
WEDNESDAY, Dec. 23
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Wednesday, Dec. 23 in Cedar Brook from 3-3:45 p.m.
Library Closings. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library will be closing at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23 and will reopen on Monday, Dec. 28 at 9 a.m. in observance of the Christmas holiday.
\Christmas for the Troops. The Soldier Support Group is asking for donations to assist with a Christmas celebration for the soldiers and their families of 149th Vert EN Co (Cynthiana National Guard Armory) to be held in early December. Library Cookbook. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library is preparing a cookbook featuring favorite recipes from members of the community. The library staff is asking for recipes to be included in our memorable collection. Names will be printed with each recipe submitted. Submissions must be typed, printed (no cursive) or sent by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Copies of the submission form can be picked up at the library. Please follow the instructions on the recipe submission sheet. Attachments will need to be in Microsoft Word Document format or a text file with the subject title cookbook. Health Dept. Closings. The Health Department will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas. Also, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Years.
