FRIDAY, Aug. 8
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Friday, Aug. 8 at Our Little Miracles at 10:30 a.m.; Parkside, 11 a.m.; Shady Lawn, 11:30 a.m.; Robynwood Heights, 3 p.m.; Edgemont, 3:45 p.m.
Community Day. J&B Missions will be holding its annual Community Day on Friday, Aug. 8, at Cherokee and Shawnee from 12 to 3 p.m. There will be free clothes, toys, school uniforms, household items ad furniture.

MONDAY, Aug. 11
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Monday, Aug. 11 at Community Action Childcare Center and Harrison County Adult Care Center at 10:30 a.m.; Hinton, 3 p.m.
Champions For A Drug-Free Harrison County will meet Monday, Aug. 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month.
Community Action Council Election. An election will be held for selection of one consumer board member on Monday, Aug. 11 at Biancke’s Restaurant, Cynthiana. Candidates must have received services from the Harrison County Center in the past 12 months and reside in Harrison County. Nominations will be accepted until the time of the election, but voting will be restricted to the members of the Harrison County Advisory Council. This is an open meeting and the public is invited and encouraged to attend.

TUESDAY, Aug. 12
Cynthiana City Commission will meet Tuesday, Aug. 12, 5:30 p.m., upstairs City Hall in the commissioners’ room. The meetings are open to the public.
Fiscal Court of Harrison County will meet Tuesday, Aug. 12, 5:30 p.m., meeting room at the Harrison County Sheriff’s building (former KU building). The meetings are open to the public.

Northside Council.
The Northside Site Base Council will meet Wednesday, Aug. 13 at 3:45 p.m. in the school library. The public is invited to attend.
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Wednesday, Aug. 13 at Grandview Store at 10:30 a.m.; Berry, 3 p.m.

Berry City Commission will meet Thursday, Aug. 14 at 7 p.m., at Berry City Hall. The meetings are open to the public.
Narcotics Anonymous meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30-8:30 p.m.; and Saturdays from 6-7 p.m. at St. James A.M.E. at 312 W. Pleasant in the annex (at the rear of the church).
Cocaine Anonymous. Daniel Cullen is looking for a location to begin a Cocaine Anonymous group. It is a non-profit group and operates on the same premise as Alcoholic Anonymous. Cullen said he is looking for help to settle into a location. Anyone with suggestions, contact Cullen at 859-954-0686.
Quit Drinking. Welcome anyone wishing to quit drinking. Meetings are held Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. at 118 N. Walnut St., Cynthiana.

The Write Club-A Writer’s Support Group. Every Monday at 6 p.m. the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library will host a writer’s support group in the library annex. Harrison County Republican Party meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in the Sheriff’s Office at 7 p.m.
Young Farmers. The Harrison County Young Farmers will be meeting in the Harrison County High School ag room on Monday nights at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to attend.
LVBPW Meeting. The Licking Valley Business and Professional Women’s meets the second Wednesday of each month. The meetings will be held at a different location for approximately 2 to 3 month. Cynthiana-Harrison County Parks and Recreation Committee will meet on the Monday prior to the last Harrison County Fiscal Court meeting of each month at 5 p.m. at the Harrison County Sheriff’s office. These meetings are open to the public.
Berry Lions Club meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Berry Lions Club Hall at 7 p.m. New members always welcome.
