A Veterans Field Representative is available on the third Tuesday of each month at the County Sheriff’s office in Cynthiana from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This service is free of charge. Veterans and their dependents will receive assistance filing for Federal and State veterans benefits. Veterans need to furnish copies of pertinent documentation to verify eligibility. Water Aerobics. A Water Aerobics class will be held through Sept. 1 at the Cynthiana Country Club pool from 9-10 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Fees for the class are $50 plus $1 per class attended. The $50 fee is waived if the participant is a full or limited member of the Cynthiana Country Club. Hospice of the Bluegrass Grief Camp. Camp HOPE will be a one-day free retreat on Sept. 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for children, ages 6 to 12, who have experienced the death of a loved one within the past two years, at the Hospice of the Bluegrass Center for Grief and Education, 2409 Greatstone Point, Lexington, Ky. Caregivers of the children are also invited to attend.
