Cynthiana DAR will meet Saturday, Nov. 14 at 2 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Health Care. The program will be on National Defense.
Champions Cycling Club. Due to safety concerns, the Champions Cycling Club rides ended for the season on Oct. 31 and will resume again in April. However, the weekly group rides will continue and anyone wishing to join or continue in the weekly group bicycle rides should contact Peter or Kim Newberry at 234-5285 for more information. H1N1 Vaccine Clinic. The WEDCO District Health Department will host an H1N1 vaccination clinic Saturday, Nov. 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the health departments in Harrison, Scott and Nicholas counties. The shot will only be administered to those individuals in the high risk target groups (emergency workers, pregnant women, healthcare workers, caretakers serving children 6 months and under and children with chronic medical conditions or a weakened immune system) until the supply runs out. T.A.B.s (Teen Advisory Board). On Sunday, Nov. 15, T.A.B.s will meet at 1 p.m. in the Feix Community Room at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. This group is open to 6th through 12th grades. Snacks will be served.
Annual Holiday Program. ‘Hope for the Holidays,’ hosted by Woodhead Funeral Homes and Woodhead Memorials, on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at the Pendleton County Cooperative Extension Center, 45 David Pribble Dr., Falmouth. Holiday Foods Workshop. Harrison County Extension Homemakers will host their annual Holiday Foods Workshop "In the Mood for Food" on Nov. 16 with dinner being served at 6:30 p.m. by 4-Her's. Tickets may be purchased at the Harrison County Extension Office for $10 per person by Nov. 9. Recipe booklet and door prizes will be given.

LIHEAP Energy Assistance Program. Community Action Council's Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is available to help Central Kentucky residents keep their heat on. The amount is based on income, household size, fuel type, and geographic location. Harrison County Veterans are eligible for interment in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North in Williamstown, Ky. Spouses and other eligible dependents may qualify for interment as well.
