FRIDAY, Jan. 3
The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Jan. 3 at New Beginnings at 10:30 a.m.; Our Little Miracles, 11 a.m.; Robynwood Heights, 3 p.m.; Edgemont, 3:45 p.m.
Blood Drive. Friday, Jan. 3 from 1:30-6:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Extension Office, 668 New Lair Road, in the multi-purpose room.

MONDAY, Jan. 6
The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Jan. 6 in Claysville at 11 a.m.; Grays Run, 3 p.m.

Story Time. Knuffle Bunny-Tuesday, Jan. 7 at 10 a.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library for ages 6 months to 5 years.
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Jan. 7 at Leesburg Store at Noon.

Young Adult Book Group selections are in and ready for pick up at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. This group is open to middle school, high school and adults. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Jan. 14 at 4:30 p.m.
Class of 1957. The Harrison County High School Class of 1957 will meet at Biancke’s at noon on Jan. 20.
HCHS Class of 1974. The Harrison County High School Class of 1974 is planning their 40th reunion. The first meeting will be held Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. at Biancke’s Resturant on Main Street.
Black History Contest. In celebration of Black History month the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library will be sponsoring a poetry/art/essay contest. This contest is open to 3rd through 12th grade students living in Harrison County and/or attending Harrison County schools and open to homeschool students meeting the grade level requirements. If enough entries are received there will be categories based on grade level. The subject is: African-American Pioneers of Kentucky. Quit Drinking. Welcome anyone wishing to quit drinking. Meetings are on Sundays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7 p.m. at 118 N. Walnut St., Cynthiana.

Writer’s Support Group will meet every Monday at 6 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library in the annex.
A Veterans Field Representative is available on the third Tuesday of each month at the County Sheriff’s office in Cynthiana from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. This service is free of charge. Veterans and their dependents will receive assistance filing for Federal and State veterans benefits. Veterans need to furnish copies of pertinent documentation to verify eligibility. Robertson County Historical Society reminds all veterans, past or present, alive or passed on, to bring their photos, name of service, years, rank, where served to the Robertson County Library. All photos will be returned. Don’t delay. They are needed to be placed in the Veteran’s Book.
Harrison County Republican Party meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are held in the Sheriff’s Office at 7 p.m.
Harrison County Clothes Closet. A new drop box is now located in the back parking lot of Cynthiana Baptist Church, and is in need of coats (all sizes) and blankets. Hymn Sing. Berry Methodist Church will hold a Hymn Sing on the fourth Sunday of each month beginning at 6 p.m.
Boy Scout Troop 76 meets every Tuesday from 5:45-7:15 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, just past Eastside Elementary School. Drive to the back of the building; the meeting is in the lower meeting room. Must be 11 years old or at least in the fifth grade. For more information contact Tim Lail, 588-9370.
Weight Watchers meets every Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Hospice of the Bluegrass. Registration and weigh-in begins at 5:15 p.m.
Young Farmers. The Harrison County Young Farmers will be meeting in the Harrison County High School ag room on Monday nights at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to attend.
Free Computer Classes. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library is providing free computer classes on the third Monday of each month. Call 234-4881 to find out about class offerings or visit the website at www.cynthianalibrary.org.
LVBPW Meeting. The Licking Valley Business and Professional Women’s meets the second Wednesday of each month. The meetings will be held at a different location for approximately 2 to 3 month. Harrison County Fire Protection District meets at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 113 W. Pike St., Cynthiana. Open to the public.
Cynthiana-Harrison County Parks and Recreation Committee will meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 5 p.m. at the Harrison County Sheriff’s office. These meetings are open to the public.
