Bird Watching 101. Thursday, Feb. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library in the children’s section. This program is for kids ages 4 and up. Will be talking about common birds in our area, making a bird feeder and other fun crafts. Please pre-register by calling 234-4881.

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Friday, Feb. 22 at New Beginnings at 10:30 a.m.; Our Little Miracles, 11 a.m.; Shady Lawn, 11:30 a.m.; Robynwood Heights, 3-4 p.m.

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Monday, Feb. 25 at Community Action Childcare Center & Harrison Co. Adult Care Center from 10:30 a.m.-Noon; Hinton, 3-4 p.m.
Recreational baseball and softball sign-ups. The Cynthiana Harrison County Parks and Recreation will begin sign-ups for all baseball and girls softball at the Old Courthouse foyer. Sign-ups will be from Feb. 25 until March 9. Weekday sign-ups are from noon until 4 p.m. Saturdays are 8 a.m., until noon. Anyone with questions should contact 234-7136.

Harrison County Board of Education will meet Tuesday, Feb. 26, 7 p.m., at the Community Education Building. The meetings are open to the public.
Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Tuesday, Feb. 26 at Edgemont at 10:30 a.m.; White Oak, 11 a.m.

Bookmobile. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library Bookmobile will be available Wednesday, Feb. 27 at Southside Elementary from 9:30-10 a.m.; Grandview Store, 10:30 a.m.- Noon; Kids Club, 3:45-4:30 p.m.

Attention Harrison Countians: The Cynthiana Post Office will no longer supply tax return forms.
Library Dual Exhibit. The Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library is hosting a dual exhibit. One side of the foyer showcases the entries and highlights the winners of the Martin Luther King Jr. Poetry and Art Contest. The other side of the foyer celebrates Black History month.
Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation will award 87 county and state college scholarships to high school seniors pursuing a four-year course of study, including three $1,000 scholarships sponsored by Harrison County Farm Bureau Federation. Applicants must be a child of a Kentucky Farm Bureau member. Appal Seeds Workshop. Thursday, March 7 at 5:30 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. This workshop will delve into the details surrounding heirloom tomato seeds from Appalachia. Participants will need to pre-register by calling 234-4881 or by stopping by the library’s front desk.
Lincoln Day Dinner. Saturday, March 9 at the Harrison County Extension Office. Cost is $25 per person. Social hour begins at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be former Kentucky Gov. Harrison County Clothes Closet. A new drop box is now located in the back parking lot of Cynthiana Baptist Church, and is in need of coats (all sizes) and blankets. Boy Scout Troop 76 meets every Tuesday from 5:45-7:15 p.m. at the Elks Lodge, just past Eastside Elementary School. Drive to the back of the building; the meeting is in the lower meeting room. Must be 11 years old or at least in the fifth grade. For more information contact Tim Lail, 588-9370.
Children’s Story Time. Every Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Come listen to fun stories and do crafts. For ages birth to 5.
Weight Watchers meets every Tuesday at 5:45 p.m. at Hospice of the Bluegrass. Registration and weigh-in begins at 5:15 p.m.
Young Farmers. The Harrison County Young Farmers will be meeting in the Harrison County High School ag room on Monday nights at 7 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a member is welcome to attend.

LVBPW Meeting. The Licking Valley Business and Professional Women’s meets the second Wednesday of each month at Biancke’s Restaurant at noon, with a guest speaker. Interested and new members are welcome.
Harrison County Fire Protection District meets at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 113 W. Pike St., Cynthiana. Open to the public.
Cynthiana-Harrison County Parks and Recreation Committee meets weekly on Mondays at 5 p.m. in the City Hall Commissioners’ room. These meetings are open to the public.
