Champions For A Drug-Free Harrison County will meet Monday, Oct. 8 at 5:30 p.m. at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month.

Painting Exhibit. Freda Platt Walters, a 1959 graduate of Cynthiana High School, will be exhibiting her water colors and oil paintings at the Vault, 201 S. Main St., during the month of October. She will be at the Vault on Wednesday, Oct. 10 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

National Business Women’s Week 2012 (NBWW) will be honored the week of Oct. 22-27. NBWW offers communities, companies and organizations an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge the contributions of working women. It also offers a chance for local BPW organizations across the country/state to recognize companies and individuals that have made strides toward improving working women’s lives in their community.
