Millersburg Arts A’Bloom. Millersburg Garden Club will host its first Millersburg Arts A’Bloom on Saturday, Aug. 11 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the 5th Street Cafe in Millersburg. Veteran Honors. Edward Lee Harper, 1846-1935, a Pendleton County Civil War veteran received a military monument in the spring of 2012. On Sunday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. there will be a Civil War memorial service and monument dedication at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Old LLL Hwy. Pendleton County, Ky. Clothing Closet. The Clothing Closet is now ready with summer clothing and will now be open on the last Saturday of the month from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Closet is located at 103 N. Main (beside Cynthiana Presbyterian Church) and open Mondays and Wednesdays from noon to 3:30 p.m.

LVBPW Meeting. The Licking Valley Business and Professional Women’s meets the second Wednesday of each month at Biancke’s Restaurant at noon, with a guest speaker. Interested and new members are welcome.
Harrison County Fire Protection District meets at 6 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office, 113 W. Pike St., Cynthiana. Open to the public.
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) meets the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from 9 to 11:45 a.m. at Indian Creek Christian Church. Come join other moms for food, fun and fellowship.
