Meet-and-Greet. Friday, Nov. 4, Independent candidates for governor and lt. governor, Gatewood Galbraith and Dea Riley, will be in Cynthiana at Biancke’s at 7:30 p.m. for a meet-and-greet. Live music will be provided by Solidago.
SATURDAY, Nov. 5
Turkey Bingo. Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Cynthiana Elk’s Lodge. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games start at 6:30 p.m. Must be 18 or older to play bingo. Proceeds to benefit the Licking Valley Business and Professional Women’s Club. Canned good donations will also be accepted.
SUNDAY, Nov. 6
The Reel Truth: How Movies Happen. The Cynthiana Arts Council will host its annual Autumn Afternoon Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2:30. This year local film director Dr. Edward Smith will present the lecture. Community Christmas Project. Toy signups will be held Monday, Nov. 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the fire station on Oddville Avenue. No late signups and no phone calls. Children must reside in Harrison County and be between birth and 10 years of age.

Medicare Part D Sign-ups Enrollment Event. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. The event will begin at 9:30 a.m. and run until 3:30 p.m.

Cynthiana City Commission will meet Tuesday, Nov. 9, 5:30 p.m., upstairs City Hall in the commissioners’ room. The meetings are open to the public.

Free Thanksgiving Meal will be served at the Harrison County High School cafeteria on Thanksgiving Day. The meal is free but please call 588-3712 and let us know you are coming. There will be Christmas crafts for the kids. Transportation can be provided. If unable to join us at the high school and would still like a meal, delivery will be available. AARP Safe Driver Course. Saturday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for drivers 50 years of age or more at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. The fee for AARP members will be $12, non-members $14, and during the month of November veterans and their spouses can take the course for free.
Soup Dinner and Basket Auction. Saturday, Nov. 19 at the Cynthiana/Harrison County National Guard Armory located on Old Lair Road. Dinner will start at 5 p.m. consisting of various soups, sandwich, drink and desert and a love offering will be taken. Basket auction will begin at 6 p.m. along with craft Christmas ornaments and the Feeding The Flock Cookbook will also be for sale. Everyone welcome to attend.
