Diabetes Training Class. The Harrison County Health Center will offer a Diabetes Self-Management Training Class in the community room (on the back side of the building) on Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The training class is a free service of the Wedco District Health Department. Cynthiana Baptist announces that Awanas will start on Aug. 17. An open house and registration will be held at Cynthiana Baptist Church from 6-7:30 p.m. All children must be accompanied by an adult during the registration and open house.

Cynthiana-Harrison County Museum is hosting the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit, Journey Stories, in the lobby of the Chamber of Commerce building from now until Aug. 27. The exhibit is free and suitable for all ages. An attendant from the Museum will be available to guide visitors through the exhibit from 1 to 5 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and from 10 to 5 on Friday and Saturday. Visitors are also welcome to view the exhibit on Mondays and Tuesdays when The Vault is open (from 10 to 2).
