Cynthiana-Harrison County Museum is hosting the Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit, Journey Stories, in the lobby of the Chamber of Commerce building from now until Aug. 27. The exhibit is free and suitable for all ages. An attendant from the Museum will be available to guide visitors through the exhibit from 1 to 5 on Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday and from 10 to 5 on Friday and Saturday. Visitors are also welcome to view the exhibit on Mondays and Tuesdays when The Vault is open (from 10 to 2). Additionally, Chatauqua speakers will be at various locations around town as part of the exhibit. Check the schedule at the Chamber of Commerce or at the Museum.
Women’s Book Group. The women’s book for the month of August is A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hosseini. Will be meeting Thursday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m. Copies of the book are available at the front desk of the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.
