Author Visit. Thursday, June 9 at 6 p.m. at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library. Cynthiana Native Chandler McEwan will be discussing how to publish your own book and how he came to write his own books. Auction for Tanzania.  Saturday, June 11 all day at Calvary Assembly of God on the Hilltop by the high school. Preview of auction items begins at 9 a.m. Bidding will begin at 6 p.m. Giant inflatables for the kids. Pulled pork and a bake sale. All proceeds go to send local missionaries to Tanzania, Africa.

'Domino' under the stars. Saturday, June 25 at the Cynthiana Country Club, $10 cover charge and is open to the public. Pool will be open. Make it a family affair. 'Domino' plays from 8 p.m. to midnight.
How to Train Your Dragon Pancakes.  Saturday, June 25 from 9-11:30 a.m. for all ages, craft, and movie morning at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.
College Loans. Harrison County Educational Foundation is accepting applications for college loans for the 2011-2012 school year. Applications may be picked up at Harrison County High School, Maysville Community College or by emailing harrisoncoedfound@hotmail.com. Completed applications must be submitted to PO Box 243, Cynthiana, KY by July 1, 2011.
Harrison County Fair Community Gospel Sing. The Harrison County fairboard is sponsoring the community gospel sing at the fairgrounds on July 10 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in participating is asked to contact Barbara Yearsley, 1146 Ky. Car and Motorcycle Show. The Paris Kiwanis Club’s Car and Motorcycle Show will be Saturday, July 9 at the Bourbon County Park fairgrounds from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The rain date is Saturday, July 16.
