Community Action Council begins the new year with less funding for LIHEAP

Community Action Council’s Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Crisis Program (LIHEAP) begins with 25 percent less funding than last year to assist low-income residents with high utility bills. LIHEAP will provide a one-time benefit to eligible households to assist with their energy costs.
Eligibility for the LIHEAP Crisis benefit is determined by income, household size, fuel type, geographic location, and the following criteria:
